The Pacific Rod & Gun Club offers both formal and informal instruction in Trap Shoot and Skeet Shooting. Pacific Rod & Gun Club members are willing to share their expertise. However, if you have never fired a shotgun, or are unfamiliar with the proper safe operation of your shotgun, talk to our Range Master in the Field House or call 415-586-8349. Formal instruction is highly recommended for novice shooters as safety is a Number 1 priority at Pacific. The Range Master can help by arranging for a qualified individual to assist you in getting started.
The Range Master is in the Field House (next to the flagpole) during regular shooting hours: Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11:00am to 5:00pm. (Last squad starts shooting at 4:30pm)
SHOOTERS MUST WEAR EYE AND EAR PROTECTION AT ALL TIME WHEN ON THE FIELDS. Both are available in the Field House.
OBSERVERS MUST REMAIN OUTSIDE THE FENCES OR BE SEATED. It is recommended that observers also use ear protection.
The Club has several qualified instructors, all are NRA trained and certified instructors. An appointment is necessary. Students also need to have their own shotgun. Ammunition is available on site–steel or Bismuth shot only. Non-members must buy their ammunition on site.
Whether you are an experienced shooter who wants to improve his or her shooting skills, or you are someone who has never shot a gun before, we have the perfect instructor for you. Lessons are recommended.
