Public Recreational Facility
The club is a non-profit public benefit corporation.
Membership
Though membership is not a requirement for shooting at Pacific Rod & Gun, club membership is open to interested shooters. Sign up in the Field House on shooting days. Applications are available in the Field House or here on our website. Dues are $100 per year* with a one time initiation fee of $75. Membership year is January 1 to December 31, and dues are prorated at $8.50 per month.
A new member will receive a “new member packet” which contains a membership certificate in a certificate jacket, membership card, club decal for your car window, a by-laws brochure, a brief history of the club, a two sided sheet with club safety rules, and a waiver to sign and return to the club indicating that he/she has read, understands, and agrees to abide by the club safety rules.
The Club is a public access facility open to all. The function of membership is three-fold: 1) It raises capital for maintaining the club grounds and facilities, as the City does not maintain the grounds or facilities. 2) It is a means of attracting volunteers to help maintain the grounds, facilities, and organize events. 3) Membership dues allow the club to offer the least expensive shooting experience possible for members and non-members alike. Membership also allows individuals to serve as officers of the club and to vote for officers and board members.

Rules, Regulations, & Etiquette*
ALWAYS OBSERVE ALL SAFETY RULES: Guns will be unloaded when not on shooting stations. One shell in the gun for singles, two shells in the gun for doubles. No Exceptions. Don’t point your gun at another, even if it is unloaded. On the firing line, and elsewhere, always keep the action open and the gun pointed toward the ground or toward the sky. If by chance, you forget and someone asks you to open your action, don’t get defensive–just do it. It’s the rule and it’s common sense.
