The Guardsmen Trap & Skeet Tournament

altThe Guardsmen Trap and Skeet Tournament

The Guardsmen is a group of civic-minded young professionals in San Francisco who joined together, starting in 1947, to create opportunities for disadvantaged children to build life skills and make positive contributions to the community.  Their many fundraising events raise money for local children’s charities.  The Campership Program is a big part of their organization today.

In February, 2009, The Guardsmen held a trap and skeet tournament at the Pacific Rod & Gun Club.  Participation in this tournament was well over 100 people for the shoot and the barbecue which they held.  They plan to make it an annual event.

As you can see by the their thank you letter, it was definitely a success.  They send over 2,500 at-risk youngsters to camp each year.
