The Mission of the Pacific Rod & Gun Club is:

To respect our heritage in woods, field, and stream, and to conserve it for future generations.

To assist in any constructive program in conservation or in propagation of fish and game.

To help others with whatever knowledge is ours.

To have due regard for our fellow sportsmen.

Further, it is our goal to promote social awareness and a feeling of responsibility toward the  environment in both adults and youth by fostering responsible behavior toward the environment while fishing and hunting.

Provide hunter and gun safety education for adults and youth at a reasonable cost in a traditional classroom setting or by way of the internet.

Provide lessons in shooting skeet and trap by certified instructors for adults and junior.

Support youth in the community by providing access to club house facilities at little or no charge.

Provide a safe venue for high school students and junior competition shooters to hone their small bore rifle skills at a little or no cost.

To assist in the development of a program to give children an opportunity to enjoy the excitement of catching a fish and to reestablish a viable population of fish in Lake Merced for all to enjoy the sport.
